A Beautiful mild, large, edible pepper.
New Mexican Red are thick-fleshed and dagger-shaped, and measure about 5cm wide and 15 to 20cm long.
They change from green to red as they mature, and are very mild.
The plants are medium-sized and could, if given enough support, be container-grown.
Though Anaheim chillies are traditionally eaten green they are a culinary treat at either stage of maturity.
Grilled and peeled, the fruit are delicious for stuffing or using in salads, sauces and stews.
